The unit consists of a prime mover (1) generally in the form of a rod which moves relative to a fixture (4). This movement is transmitted by the intermediary transmission elements (2,2') which slide axially in relation to the prime mover (1). They are guided by the action of slots (6,6') provided in the fixture (4) orientated generally in the direction parallel to that of the prime mover, but diverge slightly at their far end. A set of rollers (5',5") guided in these slots (6,6') transmit this movement to a secondary plate (7) and at the same time rotate the transmission elements (2,2') about their axes to open the lips (12',12") at the far end of the transmission elements to allow the prime mover (1) to be disengaged from the elements (2,2'). Use/Advantage - As a transmission of a linear motion between a driver and driven element for loading mechanisms in rifles or relay mechanisms for transfer machines where only a fraction of the movement is transmitted, which is robust and simple.
