The automatic distribution system includes a permanent storage area (5) containing the shop's products, and display stands (3a,3b) showing a small number of samples of the products available. Set amongst the display stands (3a,3b) there are a number of selection panels, where a customer may use an electronic key (2) to enter a list of the products he wishes to buy. Storage, handling and conveyor units (12) are used in order to bring together from the main store the batch of goods a customer has ordered, in order to provide his complete order requirement. USE/ADVANTAGE - The system may be used in large area stores or hypermarkets, replacing the need for customers to use trolleys.
