The burner has a number of venturi tubes (3), opening out in downstream chambers (4) and each supplied by an injector (8). The chambers are subdivided into (p) elementary burners (1), (p) being a number greater than 1. Each burner has (n) venturi tubes, (n) being a number greater than 2, side by side. The downstream chambers, comprising an elementary burner, form one common chamber, with the downstream end wall perforated (5), forming a single combustion ramp (2). The burners may be rectangular, parallel and coplanar, each supplied by a parallel tubular feeder (7), carrying injectors. USE/ADVANTAGE - Heaters not larger than 70 kW. Avoids unburnt fuel components, especially carbon and nitrogen compounds.
