The device includes a triode filter contained in an electromagnetic screening box consisting of a base (10) and a cover (29), the filter having one or more conductive lines (21,22) within a resonance chamber. Each conductive line (21,22) is a cutout formed in a conductive base plate (11) partially covered with dielectric material (12) bearing esp. one or more microstrip lines (14). Each line (21,22) is connected to the microstrip line(s) (14) by electrical connections (18,30), the base plate (11) is fixed against the bottom of the box base (10), and the resonance chamber is formed by a recess (28) in the bottom and by the cover (29) covering the base (10). Pref. the base plate (11) is made of brass and the dielectric material is `Teflon' (RTM) glass. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used esp. as a band pass or band stop filter or as a gp. time corrector. The device combines triode filter technology with microstrip technology, has reduced cost and allows component assembly adjustment and compactness, while ensuring optimal earth contact.
