FAILURE INDICATOR FOR LIGHTING PROTECTION INSULATOR AND LIGHTING PROTECTION INSULATOR EMPLOYING THE INDICATOR

PURPOSE: To provide a failure indicator for a lighting protection insulator, which is simple in constitution, and can facilitate its manufacturing and installing works. ;CONSTITUTION: Each ring 11 is roughly identical in diameter to the barrel section 9 of a lighting protection insulator, is larger in width than the diameter of each pressure release hole 2, and is formed into a ring shape. In each ring 11, the surface opposite to each pressure release hole 2 is made to be a pressure bearing surface 11a. A part of each ring 11 is cut off, so that a clearance section is thereby formed therein. Color different from that for the outer surface of the lighting protection insulator is coated over each ring 11, so that an indicator 10 is thereby formed. The indicator 10 is fitted on the barrel section 9 of the lighting protection insulator so as to be fixed there with adhesives.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
