BI-DIRECTIONAL MICROSTRIP ANTENNA

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a simply-constituted, miniaturized and easily manufacturable bi-directional microstrip antenna suitable to a base station antenna in a mobile communication system. ;CONSTITUTION: An excitation element 2₁ composed of a metallic film, a power feeding line 3₁ and a matching line 4 are provided on the front surface of a dielectric plate 1 thinner than a radiation wavelength. The excitation element 2₂ composed of the metallic film, the power feeding line 3₂ and a ground surface 5 corresponding to the matching line provided on the front surface of the dielectric plate 1 are provided on the back surface of the dielectric plate 1 as well. Then, the excitation element 2₁ and the power feeding line 3₁ provided on the front surface of the dielectric plate 1 and the excitation element 2₂ and the power feeding line 3₂ provided on the back surface of the dielectric plate 1 are formed so as to be reflection symmetrical (plane symmetrical) with a plane parallel to the front surface or the back surface in the middle of the front surface and the back surface of the dielectric plate 1 as a reflection plane (symmetry plane).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
