METHOD OF INSTALLING DECK OF OFFSHORE PLATFORM AND SUPPORT STRUCTURE OF OFFSHORE PLATFORM

PURPOSE: To avoid shocks between an offshore platform deck and a support structure by establishing high flow rate bidirectional communication between a low pressure hydraulic fluid accumulator and a cylinder of cylinder/plunger piston assembly, establishing unidirectional communication from the accumulator to a chamber and establishing low flow rate communication between the cham ber and a hydraulic fluid reservoir. ;CONSTITUTION: When check valves 24 receive control signals required for release, the check valves 24 establish high flow rate bidirectional communication between an inside cavity of an accumulator 17 and a chamber 16 of a hydraulic cylinder 15. When releasing control signals are not transmitted, the check valves 24 establish high flow rate unidirectional communication from the inside of the accumulator 17 to the chamber 16. When releasing control signals are released, a control selector valve 25 establishes low flow rate communication between the chamber 16 and a hydraulic storage apparatus.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
