PURPOSE:To provide a knowledge base construction device where the maintenance work and the debugging work of a knowledge base become easy. CONSTITUTION:A first means dividing attributes in the knowledge base 4 into groups, a second means extracting/separating an attribute related to the prescribed number of attributes and one attribute in the attribute groups in circle correlation as the peculiar attributes among the attributes in the related attribute groups, dividing the remaining attributes into the groups for the respective related attribute groups and generating sub-groups, a third means setting hierarchy groups of respective stages and representative attributes in the respective hierarchy groups for the attributes in the sub-groups, a fourth means arranging lengthwise all the attributes in the sub-groups in a line, generating one line array and sweeping attribute related lines between the respective attributes in one line array, a fifth means generating one line array for all the sub-groups divided by the second means, a sixth means arranging the peculiar attributes extracted/separated by the second means on the upper or lower side of all the one line arrays in a line and a seventh means sweeping the attribute related lines between the respective attributes and the respective peculiar attributes in all the one line arrays are provided.
