PURPOSE: To prevent construction work from being interrupted or a construction period from being delayed by stretching a tent between two main cables spanned between both banks and moving the tent with a transverse cable and wind-in and wind-out devices and covering the upper part of a core under construction with the tent. ;CONSTITUTION: Winches 11 are installed to the top of a bank C of a dam while anchors 12 are installed to the top of a bank D. Two main cables 13 are spanned so that they may be positioned substantially on a border line between a core and a filter. Wind-in and wind-out devices 15 on the top C are installed while the support devices 16 are installed on the top D, thereby spanning transverse cables 17 along the main cables 13 by way of a connector. A rectangular-shaped tent main body 19 is mounted between the main cables 13 with a plurality of movable connection members 20, thereby suspending a tent 14. The elevation of a tent device 10 is adjusted with an anchor 18 so that construction work may be executed from the core side under construction without undergoing the effect of rain. When the construction side reaches a specified height, a filled surface 2a is covered with a sheet 25 and the tent device 10 is moved to the subsequent construction surface with the transverse cables 13.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
