COAXIAL CHANGEOVER 3DB COUPLER AND ACTIVE/STANDBY TELEVISION TRANSMISSION SYSTEM USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To provide the coaxial changeover 3dB coupler with simple configuration by connecting an inner conductor interconnecting an input terminal and an output terminal of a coaxial changeover device to a parallel transmission line so as to provide a function of a 3dB coupler. ;CONSTITUTION: A rotary disk 12 is accommodated in the middle in an outer conductor package 11. The rotary disk 12 is driven by a motor section 13. Moving electrodes 15-1 to 15-4 are projected to insulation stands 14-1 to 14-2 arranged upright on the surface of the rotary disk 12 respectively. A parallel transmission line 16 acting like a 3dB coupler is connected among the moving electrodes 15-1 to 15-4. An opening 11a of the outer conductor package 11 is covered by a cover 17. Fixed electrodes 18-1 to 18-4 are arrange to a lower side of the cover 17 symmetrically around a center shaft 10c and each of the fixed electrodes 18-1 to 18-4 is in face contact with one of the moving electrodes. Input and output terminals 19-1 to 19-4 are arranged to an upper face of the cover 17 and connected electrically to the fixed electrodes 18-1 to 18-4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
