PURPOSE: To combine a pusher type furnace capable of selectively separating a heat treating zone by a door with a linearly transferring charge holding device in the pusher type furnace. ;CONSTITUTION: A charge holding means is pushed as much as the length of one charge holding means in each cycle along the charge transferring direction X by periodically acting with a pusher device 5. Two doors 11, 12 are equipped in order to separate the temp. and atmosphere control in the successive parts 8, 9 and 10 in a heat treatment chamber 3. The line of the charge holding means (a)-(p) is separated into some charge holding means 31, 32, 33 with movable skids 71, 73, the charge holding means 31 is shiftable toward the downstream side, the charge holding means 33 is shiftable toward the upstream side and gaps 34, 35 for closing the two doors 11, 12 are formed to be separate from the charge holding means 32 at the center part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
