PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent optical data memory device by preventing the generation of the noise occurring in the crystal grain boundaries within a ZrO2 layer for the signal by a laser beam transmitting the layer as the layer is amorphous, etc. CONSTITUTION: A disk 100 has a glass substrate 101, a dielectric layer 102, a magneto-optical allay layer 104, a dielectric substance layer 106 and a metallic layer 108.
