METHOD OF MIXING AND DESIGNING COMPACTION-FREE CONCRETE TO BE AIR PLACED

PURPOSE: To obtain a compaction-free concrete mixing design that is not affected by the quality of a construction. ;CONSTITUTION: In a method of mixing and designing a composition for producing a compaction-free concrete to be air placed, water-hardening inorganic powder, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, water, a high-performance AE water reducing agent and/or a high-performance water reducing agent are used as components to be mixed, furthermore an AE agent, a polymer material, and a chemical admixture are used, as required, and the following factors (a)-(f) are calculated, set, and adjusted: (a) a constrained water ratio of water- hardening inorganic powder used for a concrete to be produced and a percentage of absolute volume of coarse aggregate, (b) an air content of concrete, (c) a quantity of coarse aggregate, (d) a quantity of fine aggregate, (e) a volume ratio of water to water-hardening inorganic powder, and (f) a slump flow of a concrete composition adjusted in mix conditions set by the (a)-(e).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
