PURPOSE:To obtain a medium for culturing Pleurotus sajor-caju(Fr.) Sing. capable of remakably shortening culturing period, providing the mushroom in high yield harvesting a fruit body excellent in shape and inexpensively and stably feeding a raw material used as a substrate for culture medium. CONSTITUTION:The culture medium for culturing Pleurotus sajor-caju(Fr.) Sing. consists essentially of chip dust and soybean skin and the mixture ratio of the chip dust and soybean skin is in the range of (1:0.3) to (1:1.8) expressed in terms of dried weight ratio.
