CULTURE OF MARINE MICROALGA AND PRODUCTION OF DOCOSAHEXAENOIC ACID THEREBY

摘要

PURPOSE:To stably obtain docosahexaenoic acid inexpensive and free from a fishy smell on an industrial scale by continuously culturing marine microalgae and extracting docosahexaenoic acid from the obtained algal body. CONSTITUTION:This culturing method of marine microalgae comprises the production of algal bodies of the marine microalgae by continuously culturing the marine microalgae with submerged technique. Further, docosahexaenoic acid is produced by the use of the culturing method.
