Single-phase induction motor with external rotor having a main stator magnetic circuit distinct from the auxiliary circuit, each one excited by a single coil for any given number of poles
Sector: electromechanics Technical problem: structural-functional design for an induction electric motor with single-phase external rotor and capacitor. Essential characteristics and use of the invention: the solution calls for said motor to have a main stator magnetic circuit different from the auxiliary one and each magnetic circuit is excited by a single coil for any given number of poles. This solution is structurally and economically advantageous because: - with a single coil for each of the two magnetic circuits, one avoids the usual windings formed from many coils of wire and the connections between them; - from the single coil of the main circuit it is easy to obtain intermediate drives for different speeds; - it is possible to reduce the quantity of copper needed for the winding; on the other hand, a larger quantity of iron is required which, on the one hand, reduces the economic advantages which can be obtained with copper, but on the other hand presents greater inertia to vibration with consequent foreseeable advantages in the sound levels.
