DEVICE FOR FEEDING WIRE ELEMENTS TO THE LAYPLATE OF A REVERSE-LAY WIRE-STRANDING MACHINE

Proposed is a device for feeding wire elements (1) to the layplate (2) of a reverse-lay wire-stranding machine, the device having several discs (6) disposed one behind the other in the direction of feed of the wire elements (7) towards the layplate (2). The discs have apertures (7) through which the individual wire elements (1) are passed. The edges of the discs (6) are rotatably mounted in roller bearings (9) fitted in a support (10), the supports (10) for the individual discs (6) being fixed to a rod-shaped support mount (11). As the layplate (2) rotates, the discs (6) rotate with it, thus giving a low-friction wire-element feed.
