In a hydraulic railway switch drive, in order to connect the actuating cylinder (2) to the slider housing (8), which is seated on the push rod (7), a locking lever (9) is provided which is mounted so as to be capable of swivelling on one side and whose free swivellability is bounded by means of stops (14, 15) on the slider housing (8). This locking lever (9) has two cam-like elevations (16, 17) on the side of the slider housing (8), in each case one swivel bar (18, 19) which is coupled to the slider housing (8) resting with an actuation cam on the said elevations (16, 17) and the said swivel bar (18, 19) having on the other side the catch (23) for the respectively associated locking hook (24, 25) which is fixed on the housing side.
