The present invention relates to a method for producing insulin, and more particularly, to a method for producing insulin, producing secretory cell lines and producing insulin having the same properties as natural insulin. The insulin-secreting cell line according to the present invention is obtained by immortalizing pancreatic -cells, fusing them with normal pancreatic cells, and then obtaining the fused cells through irradiation and cloning, and secretes insulin having complete structure and function. Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to obtain insulin as a therapeutic agent for diabetes, which is maintained in a normal range when needed and self-degraded in an excessive amount and is lost in the blood.
