The invention relates to a foot-measuring device with a base plate (10), a first fixed stop (12) and a second movable stop (14) opposite it which is coupled to a device (22, 24) to indicate the measured length of the foot and, on the movable stop (14), a side slide guide (26) movable transversely to it which is coupled to a device (32, 34) to indicate the width of the foot, while there is a handle (36) by means of which the device can be held and an engagement component (30) for the manual operation of the movable stop (14) and the side slide guide (26) together by the same hand. The invention makes it possible very easily to determine the length and width of the foot to be measured, as the device can be held in one hand, while at the same time can be adjusted by the thumb or fingers by moving the stop and the side slide guide.
