ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREHigh strength low carbon steel wire rods excellent inthe cold drawing property have a composite structure inwhich an acicular low temperature transformation phasecomprising a martensite, bainite and/or the mixed structurethereof that comprises, by weight %,C : 0.02 - 0.30 %,Si : less than 2.5 %,Mn : less than 2.5 % andthe balance of iron and inevitable impurities and that maypartially contain retained austenite is uniformly dispersedat the volume ratio of from 10 to 70 % in the ferritephase, and in which the weight of (C+N) in solutionin the ferrite phase is less than 40 ppm.
