A description is given of a water-cooled tuyère for blast furnaces and hot-blast cupola furnaces. This tuyère consists of a double-walled hollow body with a central passage opening (2) for the hot blast, the hollow space (6) through which the cooling water flows being closed by an annular rear wall (3) provided with inlet and outlet openings (7, 8). To optimise the cooling effect, a plurality of supply pipes (10 to 12) of different lengths are connected to the rear wall (3), said supply pipes being constructed at their top end in such a way that the water jet flows circularly or spirally into the hollow space (6). For this purpose, the top ends of the supply pipes (10 to 12) are bent in the manner of an arc or circle about the longitudinal axis of the hollow space (6). IMAGE
