A method for coiling with concentric windings from naturally tempered or in another manner, heat treated wire with periodically changing wire diameters

The method is for the winding of coils having concentric windings, of heat-treated wire, esp. spring steel. The wire consists of bi-conical sequences with periodically changing dias. One sequence has a central cylindrical section with larger dia, with conical transfer sections on either side, extending into sections with smaller dias. Before coiling, the wire is pre-bent plastically in the central section, with a given radius of curvature (R1). The transfer and smaller dia. sections are coiled elastically. The central and non-cylindrical sections are pre-bend to a max. dia. dx. Below this dia, and in the end sections, coiling takes place elastically.
