A device for dispensing of broken glass and labels made from a bottle washing machine

The mixture of wet label material and glass fragments is conveyed (1) from the vicinity of the bottle washing machine and thrown off (2) into a collecting chamber. In the path (3) of the mixture is the smooth inclined surface of a sector (64) of a cylinder (61) rotating against the direction of the material stream. The properties of the cylinder surface and the angle of incidence of the material stream are chosen such that the wet labels stick to the surface and are carried round with the cylinder, while glass fragments slide or roll off into a first container (66). The labels are removed from the cylinder surface by a scraper (67) and drop into a second container (70). USE/ADVANTAGE - Bottle washer which separates glass fragments and labels. Disposal costs of waste material are reduced. Equipment is reliable and easy to maintain.
