Recycling installation for environmentally-friendly separation of old paint and paint tins

Paint tins, in which paint residues are still situated, can as yet not be included in the recycling circuit. Consequently, society is losing a valuable raw material and expensive dumping of the paint tins has to be carried out. This problem is solved with the method according to the invention, in which the paint tins are cooled to approximately -90 DEG C and the paint residues are subsequently removed from the paint tins by blows. The paint tins can then be separated from the paint residues by means of magnetic devices. A method of implementing the method according to the invention is presented, which makes possible separation of paint residues and paint tins in continuous operation.
