摘要
The hydroplane is symmetrical about the vertical, with large aircraft type wings (1) and sails (3) joined by a horizontal top plane and elevator (7). The wing and elevator lifting force is adjusted by pivoting or by flaps (5,6,8,9). The trapezoidal structure has horizontal wing base, sails sloped rearwards and inwards, to join the smaller top plane. The wing sails have rudder flaps (4,5) and the main wing carries the pilot's fuselage centrally. Floats under the fuselage and wing provide support, leaving the water when the sailboat achieves high speed, but a keel (13) remains immersed. ADVANTAGE - Avoids drag and instability of normal hulls and hydrofoils at speed and in various sea state, increasing speed.
