A hydrostatic gear incorporates a hydraulic pump (2), hydraulic pipes (4, 5) linked to a hydraulic motor (6), a pump housing (8), a housing (9) for the hydraulic motor (6) and a planetary gear (7) whose cross-piece (36) is joined to a drive flange (38). The novelty is that oil is continually drained from the high pressure circuit (hoses 4 and 5) through ink hoses (20, 21), further that after having passed through a cooler, oil is continually supplied via a hose (19) to the inner space within the gear housing (9), and that the hose (19) joins the gear housing (9) close to the hydraulic motor (6).
