PURPOSE: To improve analysis precision by changing a condition value in accordance with the position coordinates of a surface in the definition of a boundary surface. CONSTITUTION: A CPU 1 detects the element of the surface not in contact with the surface of another element among the elements of an analytic model on the basis of information related to the analytic model to show a device to be analyzed and to be used in finite element solution analysis stored in a file device 3, and groups the elements of the surface into a first group for every surface number, and extracts the elements of the same increment value of, the element number among the elements of that surface, and groups them into a second group. As to the element included in this second group, an element initial number, an element final number, the element number increment value and a surface number the element belongs to are described in one line. Next, the range of the coordinate desired to sort is designated, and a solid finite element is generated newly in space generated by the surfaces within this range. The information to define a heat transfer surface of the boundary condition of the analysis is generated by using the surfaces outside the designated range. Then, in the definition of the heat transfer surface, the heat transfer coefficient of the condition value is changed in accordance with the position coordinates of the surface.
