METHOD FOR SUPPRESSING IN-FURNACE RUBBING FLAW OF STAINLESS STEEL STRIP IN VERTICAL TYPE BRIGHT ANNEALING FURNACE

PURPOSE: To provide a method for preventing the deformation of a stainless steel strip in a vertical type bright annealing furnace and suppressing the generation of rubbing flaws by contact with furnace walls. ;CONSTITUTION: The plate temp. curve of a stainless steel strip S in the height direction over the entire area in a vertical type bright annealing furnace 10 having a heating zone 13 and a cooling zone 14 is formed as the combination of a quadratic curve and straight line at the time of heat treating the stainless steel strip S by using the furnace described above. In addition, the heating and cooling of the stainless steel strip S are controlled so that the inclinations at the connecting points of the quadratic curve and straight line described above coincide with each other to suppress the in-furnace rubbing flaws.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
