PURPOSE: To select and regulate the stirring power depending on the item to be analyzed. ;CONSTITUTION: The automatic analyzer comprises a compressed air line 4 coupled with reaction cells 1A-1C at a stirring position, and a solenoid valve 5 for regulating the quantity of air to be fed to the reaction cells 1A-1C from the compressed air line 4 wherein the air supply is regulated based on the open/close time of the solenoid valve 5 thus regulating the stirring power. Before the compressed air line 4 is coupled with the reaction cells 1A-1C, the air is stored temporarily in an air sump provided in the line between the solenoid valve 5 and the reaction cells 1A-1C, and the stored air is used for stirring. With such structure, the open/close time of the solenoid valve 5 can be preset foe each analytic item and a plurality of stirring conditions can be selected depending on the analytic item. Furthermore, the stirring power can be regulated based on the air supply time to the air sump and thus realizing easy control of the stirring power.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
