JET PUMP SEAL DEVICE AND JET PUMP INSPECTION REPAIR METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To perform inspection and repair of the inside of a riser tube of a jet pump without any need of opening an opening of reactor water. CONSTITUTION: When inspection and repair of a jet pump provided in a reactor pressure vessel of a boiling water reactor are performed, the upper opening part of a riser tube 12 is liquid-tightly sealed and partitioned from the inside of the reactor in order to form an air working space in the inside of the riser tube 12 after an inlet mixer of the upper part of the jet pump is removed. A long seal tube 45 which is hung from the upper part of the reactor and connected to the upper opening part of the riser tube to make the inside of the riser tube communicate with a reactor-upper space, a seal part 50 which abuts to the upper edge of the upper opening part 12a of the riser tube provided on the lower end part of the seal tube and liquid-tightly seals its contact part, and a remotely operated fixing means 56 which is positioned upward of the seal part and detachably secured to the upper end projection part of the riser tube 12 provided on the lower end part of the seal tube 45 are equipped.
