摘要

PURPOSE: To provide a sea water tank corrosion preventive method economical, highly effective and dispensing with anticorrosive coating by using inert gas. ;CONSTITUTION: Nitrogen gas is supplied to a void space in a ballast tank 1 from a liquid nitrogen tank 4 installed on board a ship, and oxygen concentration in this void space is controlled to be not higher than 5%. If necessary, a liquid nitrogen manufacturing device 3 is installed on board the ship to enable stable supply of the liquid nitrogen. By filling the void space in the ballast tank 1 with the nitrogen gas, corrosion of the ballast tank 1 is effectively restrained and coating thereof is dispensed with.
