FOUNDATION STRUCTURE FOR PREVENTING DIFFERENTIAL SETTLEMENT OF BUILDING, AND CORRECTING METHOD FOR DIFFERENTIAL SETTLEMENT

PURPOSE: To make application to buildings such as dwelling houses possible, and to make correction of differential settlement possible at low cost. ;CONSTITUTION: A concrete bottom board 2 of U-shape section is provided at a recessed part excavated on the ground G for buring a foundation. A sand layer 3 is provided inside the bottom board 2, and a foundation such as continuous footing 4 is built on the sand layer 3, being partially buried in the sand layer. In cases where differential settlement occurs, sand around a part of the foundation where less settlement occurs is agitated with a vibrator 7, and that part of the foundation is made to subside with the agitated sand fluidized. A peripheral sand-separating layer constructed of diotextile or mortar-sprayed layer may be provided instead of installing the bottom board 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
