PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rotor and motion transmission from touching a caustic alkali solution or other active solution by containing them in a hermetically sealed space. ;SOLUTION: A rotor unit 23 includes a cylindrical cap-shaped element 24 closed hermetically by a cover 25 and firmly coupled with a shaft 19 directly or through the cover 25. A permanent magnet rotor 29 is housed rotatably in the cap-shaped element 24 where the rotor 29 rotated freely with respect to the shaft 19 and a motion transmission means is disposed between the rotor 29 and the shaft 19. The motion transmission means causes the shaft 19 to rotate after the rotor 29 is started by a starter 12 and rotated by a given rotational angle with no load being applied thereto. Since the rotor 29 and the motion transmitting means are housed in a hermetically sealed space, they can be prevented from touching a caustic alkali solution or other active solution.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
