METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FEEDING BOTTOM ASH AND MILL PYRITE OF COAL FIRED COMBUSTION FURNACE

PURPOSE: To feed bottom ash and mill pyrite at a low cost. ;CONSTITUTION: Bottom ash is received by a clinker hopper 1, formed in a slurry state, and intermittently fed to a bottom ash treating unit 3a by using a centrifugal ash pump 2. On the other hand, mill pyrite generated by a coal pulverizer 4 is fed to a mill pyrite hopper 5, a foreign matter is removed, the remaining mill pyrite is fed to the discharge side or the suction side of the pump 2 during the period of feeding the ash as slurry by using a jet pump 6, and fed to a mill pyrite treating unit 3b by using the pump 2. Since about 3/4 of slurry transporting amount is fed by a centrifugal pump having a low noise, an operating cost such as power consumption and a facility cost can be largely saved.
