PURPOSE: To provide a low-temperature extraction process for Fomes japonicus known as a health food without dissipating the active component of the Fomes japonicus and provide a drink mixed with the extract obtained by the low- temperature extraction of Fomes japonicus. ;CONSTITUTION: This low-temperature extract of Fomes japonicus is prepared by extracting Fomes japonicus R with a cold aqueous solution S maintained at 5-10°C and containing an organic acid such as citric acid, lactic acid or malic acid in combination with sugars and vitamin C.
