Method of assembling a vehicle body floor portion having a floor panel of a honeycomb sandwich structure

PURPOSE:To enhance the damping effect of a floor part by sandwiching a honeycomb core between a vehicle body panel part having been formed integrally with a center tunnel panel and a surface plate to form a floor panel of honeycomb sandwich structure. CONSTITUTION:A channel-shaped center panel 5 and a vehicle body panel part extending from the panel 5 to right and left side sills 1 are formed into an integral panel 7 which is integrally press-formed using a sheet of flat plate. A subhoneycomb structure 15 having been formed by joining an upper surface plate 12 to a honeycomb is housed inside the recessed part 10 having been formed on the integral panel 7 to constitute the vehicle body panel. The honeycomb core 13 and the bottom 11 of the recessed part 10 are joined by a melsheet 14.
