PURPOSE: To accelerate the unattended operation of a NC cutter by reading out data on graphics with which cutting is infeasible, resetting torches to the cutting start point of the graphics and executing cutting again. ;CONSTITUTION: A control section 21 is composed of an arithmetic section 21a, a memory section 21b for writing a program to execute cutting and a temporary memory section 21c which temporarily stores the inputted cutting data or the data in the event of an accidental fire. Sensors 9 disposed at each of the respective torches are connected to an accidental fire detecting circuit 22. Whether the state of the cutting sections monitored by the sensors 9 is a normal state or the accidental fire state is decided by this circuit. An accidental fire signal is emitted from the accidental fire detecting circuit 22 in case the accidental fire state is decided. The graphic data with which the cutting is infeasible is read out when the cutting infeasible state occurs as a result of the accidental fire.
