PURPOSE: To provide a low-temperature drying method capable of producing Chinese tea high in quality by using a device having specific structure thereby preventing the generation of burning smell, etc., due to the loosing of aroma and excessive drying. ;CONSTITUTION: Through the use of a low temperature drier 1 with a dehumidification means G1, a temperature/humidity controlling means G2 and a tea leaf housing means G3, air g1 circulating inside and air g2 flowing in from the outside is dehumidified by the means G1 and while keeping not higher than 80°C (desirably 30 to 80°C) and 30% relative humidity (desirably 1 to 30%) in parallel with taking highly humid external air into this dehumidified air g3 by external air adjusting valves G40 and G50, the means G2 sends this air to the means 3 to execute the desired low temperature drying.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
