CONSTITUTION:At least one notch 62 is provided to the periphery of the disk shaped metallic member 36 constituting the base of the hub inserted to a magnetic disk drive window of a hard case and having a projection 48 at the position where a resin mold wall part is formed protrusively for positioning a magnetic disk domain. Since the location of the discord metallic member 36 in the metallic mold is decided based on the notch 62, the accurate positioning is executed quickly. In fixing the location of the notch 62 at the metal mold opening/closing, since no position deviation is caused, the accuracy of shape of the hub is obtained and even if a projection 48 exists at the position where the resin mold wall part of the disk shaped metallic member 36 is formed protrusively, the projection 48 does not damage the metallic mold.
