JUDGING METHOD FOR LANDSCAPE BY MEANS OF COLOR

PURPOSE: To provide the color deciding method for landscape to be easily used. ;CONSTITUTION: Landscape 1 of a deciding object is photographed by a color image pickup machine 2, and a positive color image 3 is prepared. The positive color image 3 is divided into plural small blocks in an equal area, and a preferentially occupying color with the largest occupied area is detected out of colors contained in the respective small blocks 5. The preferentially occupying colors of respective small blocks 5 are classified according to a color classification table 6 composed of plural prescribed colors, and the number of classified small blocks 5 is accumulated for each prescribed color. By calculating the ratio of the number of accumulated small blocks 5 for each prescribed color to the total number of small blocks 5, the ratio of the color of landscape 1 is numerically decided. By utilizing a color copy machine or the like equipped with a digital image processing function, the preferentially occupying colors of respective small blocks 5 can be detected from the positive color image 3 as well.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
