PURPOSE: To detect the timing of slag-cut with high accuracy by cutting the slag according to a slag threshold value decided based on the calculated value of molten iron tapping speed, at the time of tapping the molten metal from a molten metal refining furnace. ;CONSTITUTION: The molten metal tapping speed tapped from a molten metal tapping hole is calculated from the variation of the measured value with a weigher arranged in a molten metal receiving tuck and the slag detecting threshold value corresponding to the molten metal tapping speed is decided with a slag stopper control device. By this method, the accurate slag detection can be executed and the suitable slag-cut can be executed by a slag-cut device.
