PURPOSE: To facilitate construction for preventing evacuation of sediment by forming notch portions extended in the vertical direction on one corner portion of the rear of a block used in a revetment work or the like, disposing a flexible joint material formed of rubber, synthetic resin or the like therein, and pressing fitting the joint material to an adjacent block at the time of filling the back portion with sediment. ;CONSTITUTION: Notch portions 2, 4 extended in the vertical direction are formed on one corner portion of the rear of a concrete block 1 used in a revetment work or the like, and a joint material 3 formed of a flexible material is disposed therein. At the time of filing the back of the block 1 with sediment, the joint material 3 is pressed to the side of an adjacent block 1', and even if a gap is produced between blocks due to the ground subsidence or the like, a sealing effect can be exhibited.
