PURPOSE:To make effective use of a usable bin and facilitate the subsequent arrangement of copy papers by inputting the number (n) of sheets to be supplied in a group calculating the number (m) of group to be received in one bin, and changing receiving bins on every receipt of nXm sheets. CONSTITUTION:A copy paper discharged from the discharge hole 11 of a copying machine 10 enters from a receiving hole 21 to a sorter 20. The sorter 20 has a control unit 22 by microcomputer, which is provided with a preset number input means for inputting the number (n) of sheets of one group to be supplied, and a calculating means for calculating the number (m) of groups to be received in one bin by the scheme m=INT(N/n), wherein INT is a function taking the integral number part of the numbers in the parenthesis, and N is the number of sheets receivable in one bin. When m is 2 or more, receiving bins 26 are changed by a bin changing means every receipt of nXm sheets. Thus, a group of sheets are not sortably received in a plurality of bins 26, and a maximum number of sheets can be received in each bin 26 as far as possible.
