JUMBO FOR EXCAVATING CENTER-ADVANCED REAR-WIDENED TYPE TUNNEL

PURPOSE: To easily perform both excavating works side by side by excavating an advanced part working face and a widened part working face by a drilling device on the top end of a forward excavating part and a drilling device on the top end of a rear excavating part, respectively. ;CONSTITUTION: The section of the vertical part 60 of a tunnel 40 is vertically divided into three parts of a central advanced part 51 and side widened parts 52 on both sides thereof, and the advanced excavating work of the central advanced part 51 and the excavating work of the side widened parts 52 following it are performed side by side. While a jumbo frame 3 is slid along a rail 2, the tunnel is excavated with the central advanced part 51 being regularly advanced about 10m from the side widened parts 52 on both the sides, whereby the excavating works of the central advanced part 51 and the side widened parts 52 are performed side by side while the bedrock on the sides is pressed by the left side widened parts 52 to stabilize it. Drifter boom bases 66, 67 are slid along guide cells 13, 14, fore piles 6 are driven along the tunnel top end surface by a drifter 17 to cover the tunnel excavated part in a roof form.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
