PURPOSE: To attain the quickness and safety of the work of constructing a ceiling panel to ceiling battens without shakes, in a method wherein the ceiling panels are constructed on the ceiling battens placed side by side at a specified interval. ;CONSTITUTION: One side end part 2i of a ceiling panel 2, at which part securing plates each are pivoted on metallic fitting device bodies fastened to both sides, left and right, is inserted between ceiling battens 1, 1 placed side by side on a ceiling, following which the one side end part 2i is turned and the securing plates each are secured on securing strips 1c, 1c of the ceiling battens 1, 1. After that, when the other side end part 2j of the ceiling panel 2 is pushed up, the metallic fitting device bodies are turned and the other side end part 2j is mounted on the securing strips 1c, 1c. At the same time, the lower locking member 4e of upper and lower locking members 4d, 4e projected at each side of the other side end part 2j clashes against the securing strip 1c and is turned downward and the upper locking member 4d, of which the securing is released, is pushed out downward by spring force.
