CHOLECYSTOKININ-B/GASTRIN RECEPTOR PROTEIN AND GENE

PURPOSE:To obtain a new receptor protein having specific amino acid sequences, useful for the screening and evaluation of the antagonistic agents for cholecystokinin-B/gastrin receptors such as gastric acid secretion inhibitors and anxiolytic agents, by manifesting a gene derived from dog tunica mucosa or human stomach. CONSTITUTION:This new protein useful for the screening and evaluation of cholecystokinin-B/gastrin receptor antagonistic agents involved in human diseases such as gastric acid secretion inhibitors or anxiolytic agents, a kind of polypeptide containing amino acid sequences, etc., of respective formulas I, II and III, is obtained by manifesting a new gene coding for cholecystokinin-B/gastrin receptors derived from dog tunica mucosa or human stomach. This protein is obtained by manifesting in genetic engineering way a cholecystokinin-B/gastrin receptor protein gene obtained by amplification, through PCR process, of a dog tunica mucosa-derived mRNA as template by using, as primer, both the terminal sequences of the cDNA's coding region of the above receptor.
