CONVERSATION TRAINING DEVICE AND METHOD BASICALLY CONSISTING OF SYNTHESIS

PURPOSE:To provide a conversation training device and method effective also to a person having a handicap in auditory sense. CONSTITUTION:A learning person (trainee) writes the conversations to be learned in a document and inputs this document. The conversions written in the documents are divided and analyzed to data on the beginning and ending of a series of voice units and utterance units which are phonemes or syllables. A series of the utterance units are sent to a synthesizing section 3, where the parameters to characterize the utterance are formed. The tuning parameters indicating the frequencies, nasalization and tonque palate contact necessary for making exemplary utterance, etc., are displayed on the screen of a CRT 7. The sound parameters are sent to a formant synthesizer 4, by which the parameters are converted to voice outputs and the voices are exemplarily produced. Further, the utterance of the learner is measured and is evaluated in comparison with the resemblance with the correct utterance of the conversions which are written in the document and are inputted and is displayed on a CRY 10.
