PURPOSE: To make a circuit breaker properly respond to voltage alteration of an electric feed line to a load, lessen heat generation in a circuit, and make the circuit breaker compact by carrying out electricity supply to a current leakage detecting circuit and an electric circuit abnormality alarming circuit through a dropping chopper-type switching regulator including a choke coil. ;CONSTITUTION: After the output of a feed line 5 to load is rectified by a rectifying circuit 38, the output is led to a dropping chopper-type switching regulator 37 provided with a voltage controlling switching element 54 and including a choke coil 57. Here, for example, about 400V voltage of the feed line 5 to the load is lowered to about 12V and the voltage is applied to a current leakage detecting circuit 47. Meanwhile, when current leakage occurs in the feed line 5 to loads, a zero-phase transformer 6 detects the current leakage and sends out a detection signal to the current leakage detecting circuit 47. Then, electricity is applied to a thyrister 48 and a transistor 62 through a SCRT terminal in the circuit. Consequently, a relay 50 provided with a current leakage display LED 49 and an output contact point 50a for current leakage alarming is driven.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
