The ceramic is used for making parts, antifriction components for the medicine and technology, and sensors for measuring electrical potentials in cosmic plasma. It contains the following initial components: (0.98-0.95)TiO2 (0.02-0.5)Nb203. The ground and homogenized mixture of the initial materials after moulding is sintered in oxidation medium after which the sintered ceramic is reduced in medium of pure hydrogen at temperatures ranging from 800-900°C for 30-40 min. Glass carbon is multiply deposited in vacuum at 1000-1100°C for 90 to 120 minutes on the reduced ceramic.
